ในระหว่างวันที่ 30 ธันวาคม 2561 – 20 กุมภาพันธ์ 2562 นางสาว สุภาวดี วงศ์สุวรรณ นักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 4 ของหลักสูตรวิทยาศาสตร์ชีวภาพ ได้เดินทางไปประเทศเกาหลีใต้ เพื่อทำการศึกษาระยะสั้นที่ Department of Health Biology แห่ง Kangwon National University (KNU) ภายใต้โครงการข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ ระหว่าง KNU และมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง
ระหว่างการศึกษาอยู่ที่ KNU ภายใต้การดูแลของ Professor Dr. Dong Ha Cho นั้น นางสาว สุภาวดี วงศ์สุวรรณะ ได้ทำการทดลองสกัดสารจากพืช Kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus) เพื่อทดสอบหาสารต้านอนุมูลอิสระ จากประสบการณ์ที่ได้เดินทางไปศึกษาในประเทศเกาหลีใต้ในครั้งนี้ นางสาว สุภาวดี วงศ์สุวรรณ มีความประทับใจมาก โดยเฉพาะการได้มีประสบการณ์ในการทำงานร่วมกับชาวต่างชาติ ทำให้มีมุมมองในการศึกษาและการใช้ชีวิตที่มากขึ้น และอยากประชาสัมพันธ์ ให้นักศึกษารุ่นน้องได้สมัคร เข้าร่วมโครงการนี้ในปีถัดไป
Miss Supawadee Wongsuwan, a fourth year student of Bioscience Program of School of Science, traveled to South Korea from December 30th, 2018 to February 20th, 2019, to undertake a short-term study with the Department of Health Biology, Kangwon National University (KNU), under the cooperation agreement between KNU and Mae Fah Luang University.
During her study at KNU under the supervision of Professor Dr. Dong Ha Cho, Ms. Supawadee conducted an experiment to extract compounds from Kenaf plants (Hibiscus cannabinus) in order to test for antioxidants.
Ms. Supawadee was very impressed from the study experience in South Korea, especially the opportunity of working with foreigners, resulting in a greater perspective in education and living; and she would like younger students to apply for this project in the next year.
